5. Happy Transactions: How to Love Every Dollar You Spend (and Get More Back!)

At our recent Fun Money launch party, 50 phenomenal women paid $59 to attend. Some of them spent the night asking what was "included" with their ticket, while others walked away with an experience worth so much more than they paid. The difference between those two experiences had nothing to do with luck and everything to do with how you look at things.

I am obsessed with the idea that two people can spend the exact same amount of money and have completely different experiences - not just emotionally, but in actual monetary returns. And while I love to get down and dirty with compound interest and dollar-cost averaging, nothing jazzes me up more than exploring the subjective experience of money. This is the part of the wealth equation that so many high-earners miss, causing them to see money as stressful rather than, you know, fun.

In this episode, I spill the tea on how viewing transactions as investments instead of expenses totally changed my financial trajectory. I'll take you from the $40 I spent on my first networking event as a single mom to the $15,000 mastermind that felt like a mistake but actually netted me more than I invested. You'll also learn why focusing on features limits your returns, how trying to get "the most bang for your buck" can actually decrease value, and why believing you can't waste money opens up unlimited possibilities for growth.

Join me in The Mission, a monthly Business Coaching Membership designed for women with big visions for their life and business. No one on the planet is teaching time and money to women in this way, so get ready to unlock a level of business owner that you didn't know was in you!

What You’ll Learn from this Episode:

  • Why asking "what's included?" when making a purchase decision limits your ability to see and create value.

  • How spending $40 on a networking event as a single mom led to thousands in future earnings.

  • Why focusing on maximizing every feature of a purchase actually suffocates the transaction and reduces value.

  • How to co-create value in any transaction by shifting your perspective in the moment.

  • What it means to make every expense an investment and why you're responsible for the return.
